In compliance with the terms laid down in the Regulations, he will continue to act as Immigration Officer.
Captain Hall of Her Majesty's Ship "Coloutta" has requested this Government to give him the means of more effectually supervising the Harbour in those waters occasionally, and has proposed Mr. Loney, the Master of that Ship, as a fitting person for employment in the Harbour Master's Department.
His Excellency has consented to this arrangement, and Mr. Loney will act as Assistant Harbour Master, receiving a daily allowance of 25 cents.
Mr. Mitchell will superintend the Department, and have special charge of the Office Work, while to Mr. Loney will be consigned the immediate charge of the Harbour.
The ordinary duties of the Marine Magistrate will devolve on the Sitting Magistrate of the day.
